Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab pictured to the left might be the original that was launched in 2010, we just might be seeing a newer 7-inch Galaxy Tab launched by Samsung in the near future; at least that's what I'm hearing from my source in the know for all things Telstra. A more in-depth look a little further into the post. That isn't the only new refresh of an old tablet we're expected to see from the nations biggest (and arguably best) telco. Update: Sammyhub.com have just confirmed the LTE variant of the Galaxy Tab 8.9 exists. It will feature a faster processor and newer version of Android than the generic Galaxy Tab 8.9 I've just been handed some awesome information from a trusted source of mine with all the Telstra goods. It seems man and his dog is making a basic Android tablet these days, Acer being no exception to this rule. A couple of months ago they launched the Acer Iconia Tab A500 here in Australia which is -- like every other Android tablet -- 10-inch, dual-core Tegra 2 and looks slightly ugly. Now thanks to the Android 3.2 release which allows 7-inch display support, Acer will be launching the 7-inch Iconia Tab A100 in the next 6 to 8 weeks. Specs of the Iconia Tab A100 include: 7-inch 1024x600... (Keep reading..) |
| As I've found out in the last year and a half of reporting on Android device news, it gets to this time of year (August to October) when all the rumours of the next generation phones -- and now tablets -- start to find their way onto the internet. Last year it was all about dual-core and being able to shoot video in full 1080p. This year, it seems, is all about which phones and tablets will have the highest resolution displays. In the recent weeks we've seen multiple devices -- their specs at least -- leaked onto the Interweb.. Samsung with... (Keep reading..) |
